This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Pets Food ("App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal and non-personal data when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account and Subscription Data
Only if you purchase a subscription via RevenueCat, Apple, or Google Play.
Payment data is handled entirely by the platforms; we do not store credit card information.
2.2 Device and Usage Data
Device type, operating system, app version, and usage statistics.
Collected for app performance, analytics, and improving user experience.
2.3 Advertising Data
Anonymous data collected via Google AdMob to deliver personalized ads.
Does not include personally identifiable information unless explicitly provided.
2.4 App-Specific Data
Pet profiles, meal records, walking routes, medical history, and events.
Stored securely in the app database and used only for app functionality.
2.5 Push Notifications
Optional notifications for promotions, reminders, or subscription updates.
2.6 Image Data
Photos taken or selected by the user when using the AI food scanning feature.
Images are transmitted to Google's servers (Gemini API) for processing and are not stored permanently on our servers.
Images may be retained temporarily by Google for API processing purposes.
On the free API tier, Google may use submitted data to improve their models. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.
3. How We Use Data
We use the data collected for:
Providing and improving app functionality and user experience.
Managing subscriptions, payments, and promotions.
Delivering personalized advertisements via AdMob.
Analyzing app usage and performance.
Processing pet meal photos through AI to provide nutritional estimates (food scanning feature).

4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:

These third parties may process data as outlined in their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
We may disclose data if required by law, to protect our rights, or in case of legal obligations.
Anonymous or aggregated data may be shared with third parties for analytics or advertising purposes.
International Data Transfers
Some third-party services used by the App — including Google Gemini API, Google Firebase, and Google AdMob — may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards as outlined in Google's Data Processing Terms, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion.
No system can be 100% secure; use of the App is at your own risk.
7. User Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
Restrict or object to certain types of processing.
Withdraw consent to push notifications at any time.
Withdraw consent to AI image processing at any time by not using the food scanning feature.
Receive your personal data in a portable format (data portability).

8. Data Retention
Data related to the application's functionality (pet profiles, meals, walks, medical history) is stored on the user's device and in iCloud until deleted by the user.
Images submitted via the food scanning feature are not stored permanently by us. Google may retain them temporarily as described in their API terms.
Anonymous analytics and advertising data may be retained for statistical purposes.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at finoxdevelopment@gmail.com and we will delete the data promptly.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time.
Significant changes will be communicated via a notification within the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
